You only live once--Take a chance

At the age of 54, I have come to realize that I really do not know what or
where I want to be.   So I have started doing things that are out of my
"norm".  I have finally come to the conclusion that you do have to live
each day as if it were the last and enjoy everything to the fullest.

Right now, I have agreed to do a dance routine in front of approximately
200 people which just my partner and me on the floor.   This is something that
in the past I would not have even considered even though I have a great
passion for dancing.   There was no question in either of our minds what
dance we would do, but we have to use some gentle suggesting to persuade
them to let us dance to the music we want which is "Miracle" by the Rocky
Athas Group.   This has become my theme song since I was so sick the first
part of the year and was told by the doctor in May that it was a "miracle"
that I was even still alive.   The CD was given to me in the latter part of
January by a really good friend.   He knew that Blues wasn't my favorite
style of music but he wanted me to just listen to the CD.   Just a couple
of weeks later, I found out that my sugar level was at 17.9 (the normal is 7
or under).   I fell in love with the music from the beginning.   The group
came to Springfield in March and they all are the nicest group of average men.
My dance partner and I have become their No. 1 fans.

This  friend has been with me through some really bad times lately and I'm
not sure if he will ever really know what he has done for me.
